ARHS is located at 190 Willow St. in Amherst, NS. Amherst
is modern site of the Acadian settlement of Beaubassin.
Jacques Bourgeois moved to the area in the 1670s and was joined by others.
But it wasn't till 1701-1703
that 2 Hébert families (Jacques' & Pierre's)
moved there. Nearby River
Hébert is named after the Héberts that migrated to that
area.
