Congrés Mondial Acadien-Louisiana 1999 Reunion de Families (The World Congress of Acadians, Louisiana 1999 Reunion of Families) will be held August 1-15.

Abbeville is being considered as the site of the HEBERT family gathering.  To be approved as the site, a committee must be formed and a Family Reunion Group Approval Form submitted to the CMA-LA Committee no later than December 30, 1996.

You are receiving this invitation because you are either an HEBERT or a descendant of the HEBERT family.  Please try to be at the first organizational meeting on Sunday, December 15 at 2 - 3 ;30 p.m. in the Mt. Carmel Elementary Music Room, Park Avenue (Hwy 167) in Abbeville.  We will elect the following Officiers:
   1.  An HEBERT chairperson & co-chairperson
   2.  A secretary.
   3.  a treasurer
   4.  Committee chairpersons (see below for Examples...)

Please spread the word about this meeting throughout Acadiana and other parts of Louisiana.

Make copies of this letter for your HEBERT relatives and HEBERT friends.  Invite them to attend our meeting.

As coordinator, I hope that you will help me get this HEBERT Reunion underway.  Together, we can plan the best family reunion EVER!!!  (In case you're wondering, my mother is an HEBERT/Broussard).

Before coming, make a list of the things, events, etc., that we should include in the planning of this reunion.  Those of you who have participated in other reunions should have much of share with us.  If you cannot come, but want to make suggestions, do it now by mail or Fax (318-893-4119).
